Registered Nurse

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse at our facility in Johannesburg, you will play a vital role in patient care, from assessment to the implementation of treatment plans. We are looking for a team player who can work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on disease prevention and wellness activities
• Supervise nursing assistants and interns
• Report patient issues to higher medical authorities
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Develop community outreach programs
• Handle emergencies and apply first aid when necessary

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Advanced Nursing diploma is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a nursing role with clinical exposure

Technical Skills

• Emergency Care
• Care Plan Development

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems for patient documentation.
• Certification in wound care management: Skills in assessing and treating wound care needs.
