Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flight Operations Specialist to enhance our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, working closely with engineering teams and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and document flight operation procedures for continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance of operational equipment and tools.
• Act as a point of contact for all flight-related inquiries.
• Prepare reports on flight operations and safety compliance.
• Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related field
• Master’s degree in Aviation Management or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aviation operations management

Technical Skills

• Flight Safety Management
• Air Traffic Control Awareness

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Certified Aviation Manager (CAM)
• Aviation Safety Certificate from a recognized institution

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of unmanned aerial systems (UAS): Understanding of operational protocols for drones and UAS technology.
• Experience in implementing safety audits: Hands-on experience conducting safety audits in flight operations settings.
