Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects in Johannesburg. Your role will involve evaluating environmental data, implementing strategies for waste management, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments and audits across projects.
• Design solutions for pollution control and resource conservation.
• Monitor compliance with sustainability metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to drive environmental initiatives.
• Negotiate with regulatory bodies on compliance issues.
• Develop sustainability reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Consult on risk assessments and contingency plans for environmental hazards.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for environmental project work.
• Create educational materials for community engagement programs.
• Present findings to senior management and suggest actionable strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in a similar role within the environmental sector
