Home Health Aide

Job Description

We are seeking empathetic and dedicated Home Health Aides to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide companionship and essential support to elderly and disabled clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with personal care routines, including toileting and mobility.
• Provide transportation and escort clients to various activities.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and medical staff.
• Help clients with exercise and physical rehabilitation tasks.
• Assist in the maintenance of household chores.
• Document care provided and any significant changes in client status.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Home Health Aide or related field

Experience

• Previous experience with elderly or disabled individuals is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Experience with medical equipment

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Organization

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Ability to speak multiple languages: Fluency in Afrikaans and isiZulu is an asset.
• Training in Nutrition and Meal Planning: Knowledge of dietary needs and meal preparation for clients.
