UI/UX Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Durban. As a key player in our design process, you will focus on creating attractive, user-friendly interfaces for our digital products. You will work closely with our development team and stakeholders to prototype, test, and enhance user experience across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create pixel-perfect UI designs and user experiences.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather project requirements.
• Participate in user testing sessions to validate design decisions.
• Work with the development team to troubleshoot issues that arise during implementation.
• Document design processes and maintain design systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design roles

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• InVision
• HTML/CSS

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Adaptability

Certifications

• UX Certification from Nielsen Norman Group
• Google UX Design Professional Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with front-end development: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to facilitate communication with developers.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards: Ability to design products that are inclusive and accessible to all users.
