Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities. You will work closely with architects, and other engineers while ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Work on design plans and technical specifications.
• Conduct research and analyses to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project execution.
• Oversee risk management and compliance processes.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
• Contribute to project budget forecasting and management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure quality of work meets specified guidelines.
• Provide technical support to project teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on civil engineering experience

• Civil 3D
• Geotechnical Analysis

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Technologist (CET)
• ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Knowledge of project financing and budgeting: Experience in managing project finances effectively.
