Parakeet Raiser

Job Description

The Parakeet Raiser will be responsible for the breeding, feeding, and general care of the parakeet population in our aviary. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about animal husbandry and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the breeding processes to promote genetic diversity.
• Ensure parakeets receive proper nutrition and care.
• Conduct regular health checks on all parakeets.
• Liaise with the veterinary team for any health issues.
• Maintain accurate breeding and feeding records.
• Assist in customer interactions and sales processes.
• Develop and implement best practices for aviary management.
• Stay updated on avian care standards and regulations.
• Lead training workshops for new team members.
• Foster a safe and engaging environment for both staff and birds.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Animal Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in animal husbandry, especially with birds, is highly desired.
