Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. As part of our firm, you will assist clients with tax compliance and provide expert advice on tax planning strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of South African tax laws and a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' financial status to determine appropriate tax obligations.
• Prepare and present tax workshops and seminars for clients.
• Work with clients to rectify issues identified in audits.
• Collaborate with other departments for comprehensive client service.
• Develop tax policies and procedures for the organization.
• Monitor ongoing compliance with tax legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree or additional certifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of tax consultancy experience

Technical Skills

• Tax Legislation
• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• Master Tax Practitioner (MTP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in Afrikaans or other languages is a plus.
