Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to oversee the dispensing of medications and offer pharmaceutical care to our patients in Durban. This role requires a professional who is passionate about patient health and is willing to collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise medication therapy. You will ensure adherence to regulations and provide guidance on medication usage to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to understand their medication needs.
• Ensure accurate medication dispensing and counselling.
• Monitor therapeutic outcomes and evaluate treatment plans.
• Participate in interprofessional healthcare teams.
• Implement safety protocols and pharmacy policies.
• Train new pharmacy staff and interns.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Utilize pharmacy management software efficiently.
• Foster relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Experience

• 3+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
