Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to oversee the dispensing of medications and offer pharmaceutical care to our patients in Durban. This role requires a professional who is passionate about patient health and is willing to collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise medication therapy. You will ensure adherence to regulations and provide guidance on medication usage to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care.
• Advise patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
• Assist in the formulation of health promotion initiatives.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and provide training as needed.
• Conduct medication reconciliation for hospital discharges.
• Stay updated on industry trends and medication therapies.

• Manage pharmacy operations to enhance patient safety.

• Support clinical trials and research initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Experience

• 3+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
