Job Description

As an Insurance Underwriter, you will play a critical role in our operations by analyzing risk factors and crafting policies that protect both the client and the company. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for the insurance industry to join our Pretoria team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve insurance applications based on established risk criteria.
• Prepare reports and analyses of underwriting decisions for management.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance underwriting skills.
• Monitor claims trends to identify areas for underwriting improvement.
• Support the development of new insurance products based on market needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Professional underwriting qualifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU) are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or a related field

• AINS (Associate in General Insurance)
