Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Hematopathologist to join our experienced team. In this role, you will diagnose and treat blood-related disorders, perform laboratory tests, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex diagnostic tests on blood samples.
• Review patient histories and collaborate with the healthcare team on treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about blood disorders and treatment options.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and protocols.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Lead quality improvement projects within the laboratory.
• Assist in training and supervising junior staff and medical interns.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree (MBBCH)
• Specialist training in Hematology and Pathology
• Current HPCSA registration

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Hematopathologist

Technical Skills

• Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Diagnostic Testing

Certifications

• Specialist Hematopathology Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
