Responsibilities

  • Interpret and fill prescriptions accurately, ensuring patient safety.
  • Educate patients regarding prescription and OTC medications.
  • Participate in community outreach programs on health awareness.
  • Document patient interactions and medication therapy information promptly.
  • Review and resolve medication-related problems or issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve treatment plans.
  • Assist in stocking and organizing the medication dispensary.
  • Lead patient consultations on health improvement strategies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.
  • Adhere to all pharmacy operations and ethics.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of practice as a pharmacist.
