Financial Analyst

Job Description

As a Financial Analyst in our Johannesburg office, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in strategic planning. This role is critical in helping our team make informed financial decisions and optimize our financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions with management.
• Analyze trends in revenue and expenses to identify potential areas for improvement.
• Support the development of business cases for new initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial performance against targets.
• Assist in the preparation of board presentations and reports.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
• Initiate and oversee financial research projects as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics is also acceptable

Experience

• 3-5 years of financial analysis experience in a corporate setting
