Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cytotechnologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining cellular samples to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. A strong knowledge of cytology principles, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough microscopic examinations of cellular samples.
• Prepare and manage sample collections from patients.
• Actively participate in inter-departmental meetings discussing case reports.
• Review and classify cytological specimens.
• Report findings clearly to pathologists and contribute to diagnostic processes.
• Maintain laboratory compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Engage in continuous education and attend relevant workshops.
• Gather and present data on quality control for lab activities.
• Assist lab management in improving laboratory methods and practices.
• Facilitate communication between lab and clinical staff to ensure effective patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related discipline
• Specialized training in cytotechnology is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience in cytology.
