Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for clients, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
• Analyze tax returns and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist clients in developing tax-efficient strategies tailored to their needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing tax laws and industry trends.
• Work with clients during tax audits and reviews.
• Provide clear explanations of complex tax topics to clients.
• Prepare reports and documentation to support tax positions and strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer holistic financial advice to clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Honours or equivalent qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in taxation or accounting

Technical Skills

• Proficient in tax software (e.g., Pastel, Sage)
• Strong understanding of South African tax laws

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
