Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Financial Planner to join our Johannesburg team. You will provide tailored financial advice and investment strategies to help clients achieve their financial objectives. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial planning, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial assessments for new and existing clients.
• Evaluate the performance of clients' investments and suggest improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and client communications.
• Host workshops and seminars to educate clients on financial literacy.
• Foster a team-oriented environment working closely with colleagues from various departments.
• Continuously expand knowledge of financial products and services available in the market.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration
• CFP and/or CFA certification is a strong advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of related experience in financial services

Technical Skills

• Financial Planning Software
• Market Analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Presentation Skills

Certifications

• Fiduciary Credential (AIF)
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a wider range of clients.
• Experience in estate planning: Knowledge of estate planning strategies and tools.
