We are seeking a passionate Environmental Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of environmental regulations and will play a vital role in conducting assessments, managing projects, and promoting sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement environmental monitoring programmes.
• Analyze the effectiveness of current environmental practices and recommend improvements.
• Foster partnerships with local community organizations to enhance environmental efforts.
• Provide scientific advice and technical support on environmental matters.
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate potential environmental impacts.
• Report findings to stakeholders and ensure transparency in communications.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with environmental laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields including Ecology or Natural Resources
• Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or research roles
