Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist at ABC Pharmacies, you will ensure the safe and effective use of medications amongst our patients. Your expertise will be vital in advising on medication-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service and patient support.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient health data to make informed medication-related decisions.
• Lead medication therapy management initiatives.
• Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy staff.
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions as required.
• Promote services such as health screenings and immunizations.
• Undertake research to stay abreast of medication advancements.
• Interact with insurance providers to facilitate prescription processing.
• Participate in community health outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmacy or related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting

• Medication Therapy Management

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certified

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
