Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our construction team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of civil engineering principles and a passion for designing and overseeing the construction of public and private infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement engineering designs and oversee construction activities.
• Evaluate project outcomes and propose improvements for future projects.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and clients.
• Ensure adherence to sustainability practices in project execution.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and interns.
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in related field is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in civil engineering or related field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Civil Software (e.g., SAP2000)
• Statistical Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• LEED Green Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with BIM software: Experience with Building Information Modeling software to enhance project delivery.
