Elevating Grader Operator

Job Description

As an Elevating Grader Operator, you will be tasked with operating an elevating grader to expertly level and grade earth, spread gravel, and lay blacktop on various surfaces. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain various construction equipment, focusing on the elevating grader.
• Communicate daily with site management to align project tasks with expectations.
• Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating with labourers and other operators on job sites.
• Follow detailed specifications and blueprints while performing earthworks.
• Conduct pre-operation inspection of equipment and carry out maintenance routines as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Assist in both routine and emergency maintenance of machinery.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in heavy machinery operation, preferably in road construction.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Safety Regulations Knowledge

Certifications

• Valid South African Driver's License
• Certification as a Construction Equipment Operator

Languages

• English: Fluent
