Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and the ability to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient health, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health through detailed medical history and physical examination.
  • Initiate treatment for medical conditions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Educate patients on preventative care and chronic disease management.
  • Collaborate with specialists for integrated patient care.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff.
  • Engage in professional development activities to remain licensed and certified.
  • Promote health and well-being within the community through outreach programs.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent clinical experience
  • Nursing diploma with additional qualifications is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting
