Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in structural design and analysis, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Design structural elements such as beams, columns, and foundations.
• Evaluate materials and methods for construction projects.
• Collaborate with environmental engineers to assess sustainability in projects.
• Submit designs for approval to local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and practices in structural engineering.
• Attend project planning meetings to contribute engineering insights.
• Document all engineering modifications and maintain thorough records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Professional certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

• Finite Element Analysis
• Revit

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
