Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for advising clients on tax strategies and compliance, preparing and submitting tax returns, and staying updated on the latest tax laws and regulations. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex tax issues. Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and reporting processes for multiple clients.
• Research tax implications of business transactions.
• Advise clients on the impact of fiscal changes on their business.
• Identify opportunities for client tax savings and efficiencies.
• Review client financial statements for tax implications.
• Develop strong client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
• Prepare and present tax-related presentations to clients.
• Maintain thorough documentation to support tax positions taken.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth processes.
• Assist in the development of tax policies and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or Accounting
• CA(SA) or similar is preferred.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a tax-related role
