We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban team. This role involves assessing insurance applications, evaluating risk, and determining appropriate coverage options. The successful candidate will utilize excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to support our goal of providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance applications and relevant client documentation.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with new policies.
• Communicate decisions and rationale to agents and clients.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of insurance market trends.
• Respond to inquiries regarding underwriting policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Finance
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred
