Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Counsel patients on side effects and interactions of medications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Facilitate continuity of care among healthcare providers.
• Implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct health screenings and immunizations when required.
• Assist in training pharmacy staff and interns.
• Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and industry trends.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or B.Pharm from an accredited institution

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist in South Africa
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Knowledge of chronic disease management: Understanding of treatment plans for chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
