Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation. You'll collaborate with developers to improve software deployment and streamline operations, enhancing system efficiency. With a hands-on approach, you will implement processes and tools to enable robust and scalable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud solutions that meet business goals.
• Support and maintain existing cloud infrastructure.
• Create and manage system backups and disaster recovery strategies.
• Advise on best practices for software development and operations.
• Work alongside product teams to establish deployment schedules.
• Enhance testing frameworks for automated deployment.
• Train and mentor junior team members in DevOps practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Relevant certifications highly desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in general IT with cloud integration experience

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Jenkins

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Certified DevOps Engineer (CDE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
