Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Operations Manager to oversee the logistics and distribution operations in our Cape Town facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of operations, managing staff, and striving for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistics strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage the logistics team, focusing on efficiency and quality.
• Implement training programs to improve team skills.
• Liaise with upper management on operational goals.
• Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making.
• Ensure reliability in distribution systems and processes.
• Benchmark operations against industry standards.
• Manage operational budgets and optimize costs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• MBA is an advantage

Experience

• 6+ years of relevant experience in operations management

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Optimization
• Inventory Management

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with eCommerce logistics: Understanding of logistics in the eCommerce sector is advantageous.
• Experience with warehouse management systems: Hands-on experience with WMS platforms is preferred.
