Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities and needs.
• Design and implement individualised rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize various modalities and treatments to improve patient recovery.
• Work with patients to promote their independence and self-management.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Provide feedback to patients and families regarding treatment outcomes.
• Document all care provided and update patient records comprehensively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
• Master's degree in a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Manual Therapy Techniques
• Exercise Prescription

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Certifications

• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in sports rehabilitation: Familiarity with protocols for treating sports injuries and performance enhancement.
• Specialised training in dry needling or acupuncture: Additional skills in complementary therapies to enhance treatment efficacy.
