Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Tax Consultant to join our team. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with South African tax laws. You should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to clients.

Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of tax returns and advise on corrections as necessary.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Utilize tax software to streamline the preparation and filing process.
• Conduct training and support for junior tax staff.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss tax strategies.
• Assist in developing internal tax policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Honours degree in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax consultancy or advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Experience with tax planning and advisory services
• Strong numerical skills

Soft Skills

• Client relationship management

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
