Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate pharmacist in Durban. This position involves overseeing the dispensing of medications, advising patients on drug interactions, and contributing to health promotion initiatives. You will be an integral part of our aim to drive better health outcomes for our community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the dispensing of medications.
  • Advise patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
  • Develop and implement medication management plans.
  • Engage in dialogues with prescribers regarding therapy options.
  • Train pharmacy interns and assist with their professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
  • Provide consultation regarding medication therapies to healthcare teams.
  • Evaluate new drug therapies and treatment protocols.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Document patient interactions and interventions appropriately.
  • Contribute to the pharmacy’s overall goals and objectives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
