Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Animal Trainers to join our team. You will be responsible for training various animal species using positive reinforcement techniques. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animal welfare and an understanding of animal behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Implement training methods that enhance the skills of different species.
• Educate staff on best practices in animal training.
• Develop and deliver educational workshops on animal behaviours.
• Conduct regular evaluations of animal training and welfare.
• Communicate effectively with team members about animal needs.
• Provide feedback and guidance to new trainers.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote responsible animal training.
• Adapt training plans based on animal response and progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Veterinary Science or Animal Behaviour
• Postgraduate courses in animal training preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in animal training or a related field

Technical Skills

• Behavior Modification Techniques
• Training Program Development

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Patience

Certifications

• Animal Behaviour Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Exotic Animals: Familiarity with training and handling exotic species.
• First Aid Certification for Animals: Certification in animal first aid is advantageous.
