Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Psychologist to join our dedicated team at Mental Wellness Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering therapeutic services, conducting psychological evaluations, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment for our clients. Your contributions will be vital in advancing mental wellness in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify client issues.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions for diverse populations.
• Work alongside other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment process.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Keep abreast of advancements in mental health practice and integrate them into therapy.
• Educate families about mental health issues and treatment strategies.
• Document all therapeutic activities and maintain accurate records.
• Encourage a strength-based approach with clients.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improving departmental processes.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD or PhD)
• Additional certification in trauma-informed care is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in private practice or hospital setting

• Registered Clinical Psychologist Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
