Job Description

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver outstanding results. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and a passion for innovative design.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Analyze project data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Research and incorporate innovative materials and techniques in project design.
• Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and interns in the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil design and project management

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Hydraulic Engineering Software

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Technician (CET)
• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
