Self-Enrichment Teacher / Driving Instructor

Job Description

As a Self-Enrichment Teacher, you will play a vital role in teaching students how to drive safely and confidently. You will provide instruction on driving laws and regulations, assist students in developing their driving skills, and ensure they feel comfortable behind the wheel.

Responsibilities

• Teach students how to drive safely and responsibly.
• Plan and deliver effective driving lessons tailored to student needs.
• Monitor students' learning progress and provide one-on-one support.
• Ensure students are aware of all safety regulations during lessons.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Engage in continuous improvement through feedback and training.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students and their families.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and teaching strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Certification from a recognized driving school is required

Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years experience in driving instruction is preferred

Certifications

• Valid South African driver's license
• First Aid Certification is beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with both manual and automatic transmission vehicles: Ability to teach students to drive both types of vehicles.
• Experience teaching individuals with disabilities: Skill in adapting lessons to cater for diverse learning needs.
