Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Materials Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and developing new materials or improving existing ones, alongside testing their performance in practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Innovate and enhance existing materials through experimentation.
• Present research findings and material analyses to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product development teams on new material solutions.
• Conduct market research to identify trends in materials technology.
• Ensure high standards in laboratory practices and safety protocols.
• Maintain and manage laboratory equipment effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or related domain
• Master's degree in Materials Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in materials technology

Technical Skills

• Electron Microscopy
• Laboratory Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with intellectual property laws: Awareness of patents and protection of innovations in materials.
• Experience supervising junior staff: Comfortable guiding and mentoring less experienced team members.
