Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing environmental impact and advising clients on sustainable practices. Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments and propose mitigation measures.
• Prepare project documentation and maintain project records.
• Advise clients on best practices for environmental sustainability.
• Conduct audits and evaluations of existing environmental practices.
• Assist in public consultations related to environmental projects.
• Research and implement innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
• Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in the development of training materials on environmental awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of consulting experience, preferably in environmental projects

• Environmental Regulations
• Sustainability Analysis

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with Environmental Monitoring Equipment: Hands-on experience with tools used for environmental data collection.
• Knowledge of Renewable Energy Solutions: Familiarity with sustainable energy options and their environmental impacts.
