Responsibilities

• Analyze risk factors for potential clients and adjust policy terms accordingly.
• Review claims and assess additional risk for ongoing policies.
• Recommend improvements to underwriting processes to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct market research to align insurance offerings with client needs.
• Participate in training sessions for staff on best underwriting practices.
• Assist in developing new insurance products based on market trends.
• Maintain accurate records of policy data and underwriting decisions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide policy explanations.
• Aid in resolving underwriting disputes when necessary.
• Ensure that underwriting practices adhere to industry standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 2 years in underwriting

Certifications

• Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certification
