We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team in Cape Town. This role involves monitoring and protecting our information systems against threats and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities

• Implement firewall and encryption protocols.
• Review and enhance current security measures.
• Regularly research and analyze cybersecurity trends.
• Actively participate in security audits and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with teams across the company to ensure best security practices.
• Maintain documentation of security processes and incidents.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve security.
• Assist in incident recovery and reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field

Technical Skills

• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

• Project Management

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent
