Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments of prospective clients.
• Analyze market trends to inform underwriting decisions.
• Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Facilitate communication between clients and the underwriting team.
• Prepare detailed documentation for underwriting approvals.
• Participate in underwriting audits and implement improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers.
• Stay abreast of changes in industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting or risk management

• Financial Analysis

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
