Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Engineer to join our team in East London. In this role, you will design and implement projects that enhance environmental quality and safety. You'll be working on sustainability initiatives and collaborating with other engineers and professionals to promote eco-friendly practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare reports.
• Design and implement sustainable engineering projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective environmental solutions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to current environmental practices.
• Prepare detailed project documentation and proposals.
• Oversee site assessments and environmental monitoring activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree highly regarded

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in environmental projects

• Hydrology

Certifications

• Environmental Assessment Professional (EAP)
• Certified Environmental Engineer (CEE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Beginner

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D: Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D for civil and environmental design.
• Knowledge of GIS Technologies: Understanding of Geographic Information Systems for environmental mapping.
