Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Road Engineer to lead our road construction projects in Johannesburg. Your expertise in civil engineering will be crucial in ensuring compliance with standards, managing resources, and delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction of roadworks, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Liaise with local authorities and review compliance with municipal regulations.
  • Draft technical specifications and proposal submissions.
  • Implement project quality control procedures.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts and tender submissions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
  • Advise on the selection of construction materials and technology.
  • Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate training sessions on safety and engineering practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects
