Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care, a strong understanding of patient needs, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ health status and provide appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with specialists as required for comprehensive care.
• Lead health promotion and prevention activities within the practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Manage the clinic's health education programs.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, and clinical staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Master's degree preferred but not essential

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is advantageous

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual Skills (English and Afrikaans): Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS): Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support is an advantage.
