Job Description

We are in search of a talented Interior Designer to join our creative team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of design principles. You will be responsible for designing remarkable spaces that reflect our clients' visions while also optimizing functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Engage in detailed discussions with clients to capture their vision.
• Prepare and present design proposals clearly for client review.
• Oversee the selection and procurement of furnishings and materials.
• Coordinate with different trades to ensure project timelines are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure design integrity.
• Assist in marketing efforts to showcase completed projects.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Advanced design certifications are preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in professional interior design

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Space Planning

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Interior Decorators International (CID)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of project management software: Familiarity with software tools for project tracking and management.
• Certification in color theory or lighting design: Additional qualifications in specialized areas of design.
