Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in Durban. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues. Your passion for animal care and excellent communication skills will be crucial in building relationships with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations of animals to assess their health.
• Develop treatment plans and refer patients as needed.
• Perform surgery and emergency first aid.
• Provide vaccinations and preventive health care advice.
• Offer guidance to pet owners on proper care methods.
• Maintain compliance with veterinary laws and regulations.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current in the field.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior veterinary staff.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and their pets.
• Encourage community engagement and education.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in both small and large animal practice is preferred

• Knowledge of veterinary pharmacology
• Preventative care expertise

• Veterinary Technician certification

• English: Fluent
