Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting laboratory tests and experiments, supporting various health research projects. This role requires precision and an eye for detail to ensure accurate results that contribute to vital health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory procedures and protocols with precision.
• Collect and process specimens for analysis.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in research projects.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results.
• Maintain laboratory accreditation standards.
• Provide training to new laboratory staff and interns.
• Conduct research for continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
• Follow up on any discrepancies or unexpected results.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Medical Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience

• ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation
