Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about financial accuracy and compliance. You will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations and data entry.
• Generate and review invoices and payments.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Support financial audits and implement recommendations.
• Manage payroll and employee reimbursement processes.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
• Monitor financial performance and suggest improvements.
• Attend training sessions to enhance accounting skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or equivalent

Experience

• 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a corporate environment

Technical Skills

• Financial Analysis
• Accounting Software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks)

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• ACCA, CIMA certification, or similar

Languages

• English: Fluent
