Job Description

Financial Experts Ltd. is looking for a Bookkeeper who can manage our accounts with precision and integrity. Your role will involve balancing ledgers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial insights to help drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
• Generate and analyze monthly financial reports.
• Ensure timely preparation of tax returns.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in financial audits by providing supporting documentation.
• Monitor budget to actual variances.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team.
• Handle any discrepancies with vendors or customers.
• Process regular payroll and resolve any payroll-related issues.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Financial Accounting
• BCom in Finance or Accounting is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in bookkeeping or a related field

Technical Skills

• Advanced Accounting Software
• Data Entry and Management

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting: Experience in assisting with financial planning and budget management.
• Strong software skills in accounting packages: Proficient in various accounting platforms, beyond just basic software.
