Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering principles and practices, with a passion for delivering innovative design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural solutions using contemporary engineering methods.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve design challenges.
• Support quality assurance processes to maintain construction standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in structural specialties is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-rise and large structures

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• Reinforced Concrete Design

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CE) status
• Civil Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with seismic design standards: Knowledge of structural design in seismic areas.
• Experience in leading engineering teams: Background in project leadership and team management.
