Job Description

As a Sign Language Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching sign language to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Your role will include designing lesson plans tailored to students' needs, developing teaching materials, and assessing student progress. A passion for education and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Teach American Sign Language to students with disabilities.
  • Conduct assessments to track student progress.
  • Create and implement lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with educational professionals to provide a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in professional development to stay updated in special education.
  • Work on curriculum development aligned with educational standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Special Education
  • Additional qualifications in disability support are advantageous.
Experience
