Job Description

We are seeking a talented Food Scientist to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will focus on developing new food products and optimizing existing ones, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate new food preservation methods and packaging solutions.
  • Analyze data from taste tests and consumer feedback.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for product development.
  • Engage in continuous learning about food science advancements.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in product launch meetings and provide technical support.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in food research and development
